Frequently asked questions
Which files and batch sizes are supported?
Select up to 30 JPG, PNG or static WebP images, up to 200 MiB total. Each file must be at most 30 MiB, 50 megapixels and 32,767 pixels on either side. You can mix these input formats.
Why convert WebP to JPG?
Some forms and image workflows require JPG or JPEG. Conversion creates an actual JPG file; changing the extension alone does not make a WebP compatible.
Will transparent areas remain transparent?
No. JPG does not support transparency, so transparent areas become white. Choose WebP to PNG if you need a transparent result.
Can I convert animated WebP?
This tool accepts static WebP images. Animated WebP is outside the supported input formats; this page does not promise to preserve animation.
What happens to EXIF and photo orientation?
Conversion re-encodes the image and removes EXIF, including any stored camera or location details. Orientation is applied to the pixels. Keep the original if you need its metadata.
Will JPG be smaller or sharper?
Not necessarily. Re-encoding can change detail and may create a larger file. Inspect the result, keep the source and use compression afterwards if a destination sets a KB limit.
What is a WebP image?
WebP is used for images on the web and can contain transparency. A downloaded WebP may not suit a form or app expecting JPG, even when your browser can display it.
