Frequently asked questions
What are the file and batch limits?
Select up to 30 JPG, PNG or static WebP images, up to 200 MiB total. Each file must be at most 30 MiB, 50 megapixels and 32,767 pixels on either side.
Why do images have different final dimensions?
With Keep aspect ratio enabled, width and height define a maximum box. Each image fits that box in its own proportions. Turn it off only if you want the exact proportions you entered.
What does 25% smaller mean?
Both width and height become 75% of their original values. A 50% reduction halves each dimension; a 75% reduction leaves one quarter of each dimension. The file size does not follow the same percentage.
Will resizing guarantee a smaller file?
No. File size also depends on the format, content and encoding. Enlargement cannot recover missing detail. Use the compression tool if you need a maximum size in KB.
Will the format and EXIF stay the same?
The tool uses the input format when your browser can encode it; unsupported output is reported. Re-encoding removes EXIF, with orientation applied to the pixels. JPG and WebP quality may change.
Why was my output reduced further?
Browser canvas limits can be lower than the accepted input limits. Oversized output is scaled down proportionally and the result is marked. WebKit output is limited to 16,777,216 pixels.
