Frequently asked questions
Which files and batch sizes are supported?
Select up to 30 JPG, PNG or static WebP images, up to 200 MiB total. Each file must be at most 30 MiB, 50 megapixels and 32,767 pixels on either side. You can mix these input formats.
Why did my transparent background become white?
JPG cannot store transparency. This tool places transparent PNG areas on a white background. Keep PNG or choose supported WebP output if you need transparency.
Can PNG to JPG conversion reduce quality?
Yes. JPG encoding can change fine detail, especially small text and sharp graphic edges. Try a higher quality setting and compare the result with your PNG.
Will the JPG always be smaller?
No. Photos may become smaller, but the result depends on image content and quality. Use the compression tool afterwards for a specific KB limit.
What happens to EXIF and photo orientation?
Conversion re-encodes the image and removes EXIF, including any stored camera or location details. Orientation is applied to the pixels. Keep the original if you need its metadata.
Will changing the extension to .jpg do the same thing?
No. Renaming a file does not convert its image data. This tool decodes the PNG and encodes an actual JPG file.

PNG is often used for screenshots, logos and images with transparent areas. When the destination requires JPG, check that a white background and possible changes around text are acceptable.

JPG, also known as JPEG, is widely supported by photo viewers, browsers and forms. Its quality setting changes the balance between image detail and file size, and it does not store transparency.
